Competeing for the 2 year old colts & geldings Early Kentucky Sire Stakes Final division, Arson (Anthony MacDonald), the two-time preliminary winner, controlled splits of :27.2, :58.1 and 1:26 in the two-year-old colt and gelding pace, but was overhauled by pocket rival Hunterton Bred, Raised & Sold, Tua Many Captains(Andy Miller) at the top of the stretch. The Captaintreacherous-Time On My Hands gelding vaulted out of the pocket and put 3-1/2 lengths on Arson to win in 1:53.3. Even-money favourite Snap Count (David Miller) was third.
